Coming In April

Lots of good stuff coming soon.

Hey all!
I know I haven’t had a lot to say this past month. March is always a hard month for me for personal reasons. So I wanted to let you know that I have some things I’m planning for April and I hope you’ll like it.

On Medium, I have a new format I’m going to be doing. I’ll be focusing on Sitcoms and I’ll be exploring their cultural and social impact. It’s an subject that really interests me and I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Over here on Substack I have some short stories I’ll be publishing, and of course you’ll have to be a paid subscriber to read them. I know things are tight, but a writer has to make a living too. Plus with the subscription only being $5 it the same price as a cup of fancy coffee from Starbucks.

I have a short story series I’ll be doing that features Nancy Killdare. You can read my first novella The Russian Hustle on Amazon Kindle that features Nancy. It’s a pulpy action affair that I think you might like. I’ll be working on that and I hope to have the first installment to you before the middle of April. So keep an eye out for that.

I’m working on The Sound Of White Noise, the first book in the Lisa Goodwin series. I’m hoping to be mostly done with it by the end of the year. It’s been a struggle to get the time to write. However, I’ve made some big changes and I’m going to be making the time to sit down and write more. Now that I have figured out some of my issues.

I hope you and yours are staying safe.

Here's What You Missed In January

My Best Medium Articles This Past Month

Hey all! I know it’s been quiet here. But over on Medium, I’ve been publishing articles like crazy! I published at least one story every day this past month. It’s a trend I hope to keep going in February.

Here are be best articles from this past month!

I started the month and the year off with being a bit introspective. “My Fatherless Life”, looked at the impact of not having a father growing up meant for me.

My best performing post was my look at nudism and why public non-sexual nudity isn’t the worst thing in the world. Be sure to check out, “Uncomfortably Nude”.

I’ve looked at everything from the future of work in “Automation Nation”. To the safety issues of Home Care Aides not having affordable healthcare and paid time off with, “Employer Provided Healthcare Is A Safety Issue For Home Care Aides."

Check out all my posts over on Medium. Also, If you haven’t already, consider upgrading to the $5 a month subscription. With awesome things like my short story “Bullets and Teddy Bears.” You won’t want to miss any of the other exclusive content I’ve got planned in the coming months!

I didn’t want to take up too much of your time. So I’m going to let you go. I hope you and your family are having an awesome 2020 so far.

New Year, New Decade

Time to get serious.

Hey all!

I thought I would take some time today to first, wish you and your family a happy new year filled with all the best things. Second, I want to let you know what you can expect over the next year.

My plan here is to send out a new content to you a few times a week. I want you to get your monies worth. I have several short stories I’m working on right now. I’m also working on a new novel as well. I’ll be giving all the paid subscribers a sneak peek over the coming year of my progress on that novel.

I am going to have two kinds of newsletter releases. One with updates on my latest Medium posts which will be for everyone. The other is going to be for paid subscribers. It’s going to be the short stories, and sneak peeks, and other exclusive content. My goal here is that by the end of the year. I’m writing full time, because writing can pay the bills.

Writing is my passion. I have lots of other interests, but writing is what I’m passionate about. It’s what gets me through the late nights working graveyard. It’s what helps me manage my mental health issues. It’s a way for me to express myself in a way I couldn’t do so otherwise.

So 2020 is going to be the year that I pour everything I have into writing. Because I really want it to be my full time job. So I’ll be writing everyday this year, and publishing just as much both here, and over on Medium.

Hey, if you haven’t already. Go follow my Publication Zen: The Art Of Observation. You’ll be happy you did. I write about a number of topics there.

Also another goal for me this year. Is to publish the first book in the Lisa Goodwin P.I. series. I have a goal of finishing the first draft by the end of June, and then have it all polished and ready to go by the fall of 2020. Then I can get started on book two of The Newsted Files. If you haven’t already. Go get your copy of book one over on Amazon.

I hope this gives you a good idea what you can expect over the coming year. Again, if you can swing it. It’s only $5 a month to subscribe to the Bits ‘n’ Pieces. That’s like one fancy coffee at just about any coffee place.

Again I hope you and your family have a great 2020.
